Our Wedding

Austin and I never officially "met", I guess you could say we have always known each other. As family friends, the babysitter of his younger siblings, and going to rival high schools, our paths always seemed to cross. Sophomore year of high school was when we began spending one on one time together- and Austin would argue I had a crush on him first ;) Ironically, it wasn't until we both moved away to college that we officially started dating. We did long distance for practically all of college, seeing each other every chance we could. Of course when we weren't living in the same town is when we began dating haha! But we both finally get to call Augusta our home again, and get to build a life of our own here together! Us on our first date to Cold Stone sophomore year of high school :)

Wedding Party

The cottages at Champions Retreat provide easy access to the welcome party and wedding reception. Rooms are booked individually by calling or emailing the club. They will then place you in the perfect four or eight bedroom cottage for shared living space with family members. Rates are $255 for each individual room. The guest rooms accommodate up to 2 guests, each with a private bathroom. This rate includes a complimentary daily breakfast at the Grille House. To book, please call Champions Retreat concierge desk at (706) 854-6984 or email clubconcierge@championsretreat.net and ask for the Gibbs-Lanier Wedding. We kindly ask that all reservations are made at your earliest convenience and indicate which nights you would like to reserve lodging. *Please note that the club has a strict no outside food or beverage policy. The cottages are fully stocked with food and beverage to purchase.

What is the attire for the wedding?

Our celebration is black tie optional. Men are encouraged to wear a tuxedo or a suit and tie, and ladies are encouraged to wear a floor-length or tea- length dress. If you are unsure what to wear, we recommend erring on the side of formal. Black tie is always welcome- We are so excited for everyone to dress up for our big day!

Can my children attend the wedding?

Unless your children were listed on the invitation, we kindly ask that you leave them at home. This is the perfect opportunity for you to have a fun night out and your kids to hang out with their favorite babysitter!

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

We kindly ask that you only bring a plus one if your invitation specifies. Thank you for your understanding!
